It is important to remember that we rely upon God's Word, not our feelings, as proof of our having Christ "within" us.
"...If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 "To all who receive Him, He gives the right to become children of God." John 1:12
Thank Christ often for coming into your life...and be sure to tell someone else about what you have done.
How to grow in your relationship with God!
Talk to God about everything - this is prayer. "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:6-7
Listen to God by reading the Bible - this is Bible study. "For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life and spirit, and of joints and marrow, exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
Spend time with others who know God personally - this is fellowship. "Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together, as is the habit of some people, but warning, urging, and encouraging one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:25
Help others to know God personally - this is disciple-making. "Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days to the close and consumation of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
Let God daily direct your life - this is obedience. "If you love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands." John 14:15 |
